He is risen! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Most Blessed Easter season to all of you and your loved ones!
I am pleased to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Trista Casey on her remarkable achievement of earning a doctorate in educational leadership. This is indeed a momentous occasion, and I am immensely proud of her dedication and commitment to advancing her knowledge and expertise in the field of education.
Dr. Casey has demonstrated exemplary leadership and unwavering dedication to our school community, and her pursuit of academic excellence is a testament to her passion for fostering a nurturing and supportive learning environment for our students and staff.
I am particularly delighted to share with you the focus of Dr. Casey’s doctoral study, which examined the factors influencing retention among private Catholic school teachers in the Pacific Northwest. Through a comprehensive mixed-methods approach, including surveys and interviews with teachers, Dr. Casey delved into the complex dynamics of teacher retention, exploring both intrinsic and extrinsic motivating factors.
Her research findings underscore the importance of understanding the unique perspectives and needs of individual teachers, emphasizing the significance of personalized support and encouragement in fostering career longevity. As we strive to enhance our school community and support our dedicated educators, Dr. Casey’s research offers valuable insights that will inform our efforts in promoting teacher retention and ensuring the continued success of our school.
Also, what is even more astoundingly amazing is the fact that Dr. Casey had been working to complete her dissertation in the midst of many challenging circumstances. From the very beginning of this school year and even up to now, she has been given crosses after crosses in her job as principal. Crises after crises relentlessly emerged and put her through the painful crucible of leadership. Problems after problems demanded her attention and time and energy away from her own family and her research. And yet she continued to push forward, having put on the armor of God for her strength and protection. Through it all, Dr. Casey never lost her trust and confidence in God, knowing that to build our school culture into a vibrant Catholic culture there can’t be any shortcuts. Rome was not built in a day and our St. Agatha’s school culture is no exception!
Please join me in congratulating Dr. Casey on this significant accomplishment and thanking her for her continued dedication and leadership in serving our school community. I am confident that her expertise and insights will continue to enrich our educational endeavors and inspire us all to strive for excellence.
